Publishing of book “Curbing Corruption in Croatia in Middle Ages”

In a book were presented the anticorruption solutions used in Croatia between 13th and 16th century. Starting from Law Code of Vinodol, one of the oldest Slavic codes, and Statute of Korčula, in book are presented legal documents from cities Dubrovnik, Zadar, Split, Rijeka, Kastav and Senj and islands Krk, Cres and Lastovo. Authors were professor Željko Radić from Law School of Split University, docents Zrinka Nikolić Jakus and Tomislav Galović from the History Department of Faculty of Philosophy of Zagreb University, PhD Zdenka Janeković Römer from Croatian Academy of Science and Arts, PhD Ozren Kosanović from Faculty of Philosophy of Rijeka University and PhD. Marta Dragičević Prtenjača from Law School of Zagreb University.

Al legal ancient legal acts are presented from the anticorruption point of view, i.e. prevention of misuse of entrusted powers. After this book one or two books with about the medieval legal acts is planned and the exhibition and film based on this book are planned as well. Book is published with the support of Siemens Hrvatska, Primorje Gorski Kotar County and Croatian Post.
